Dents and gouges in LVT can be unsightly and trap dirt. We use colour-matched heat-melt resins to fill the void, followed by a protective topcoat that mimics the original texture of the wood or stone effect.
Individual Plank Replacement:
If a tile is too damaged to be repaired, we can perform a "surgical replacement." By carefully heating and removing just the damaged section, we can install a new plank from your spare stock without disturbing the rest of the floor.
This repair is not 100% successful and many factors dictate whether plank replacement is possible.
The main issue can be: "how long the flooring has been down" If the flooring's been down for a number of years, adhesives can prove hard to shift or soften to release the offending plank or section. Damage can occur to the surrounding sections.
If suspected water or moisture damage has caused planks to lift or buckle, it's advisable to investigate the cause of the damp as a repair may only be temporary and not worth the cost.
